Ali Homsi

Ali F. Homsi is a professional structural and civil engineer born in Hama Syria. He lived there until 1978 when he came to the USA as a student pursuing his dreams of becoming an engineer. He successfully obtained a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from South Dakota State University and is now the proud owner of Homsi and Associates Structural Engineers; an engineering business in Tempe Arizona where he currently resides. Ali has been involved in most of the community projects as an advisor or engineer on the construction committees. He has worked with other groups of refugees beginning with the Somalian refugees and currently assists the Syrian refugees. His hobbies include hiking, classic cars and gardening.

 

Amin Fakira

Amin is a US Citizen originally from Aden, Yemen. He immigrated to the United States in 1981 to achieve a bachelor degree in electrical engineering from Northeastern University in Boston Massachusetts. He currently works in the field of Software Engineering and resides in Scottsdale his wife and his five year old son.

 

Dr. Ghassan Sheikh Sroujieh

Dr. Sroujieh was born and raised in Damascus. Having received his DDS degree from University of Aleppo, Syria, he immigrated to the US in 1997 to expand his dental education.  In 1999 he graduated from Loma Linda University in California. Dr. Sroujieh is a Diplomat of the American Board of Oral Implantology and an Associate Fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. In his free time, Dr. Sroujieh enjoys hiking, biking, exercising and traveling.

 

Issam Attasi

Where Can I start. I am a native Californian. My parents met in Berkeley.  Then my father decided to return to Syria and live in Homs. That is where I finished my high school and returned to California. I am married to my beautiful wife Lama Hirky. My 1st experience with non profit organization goes back to San Diego, CA in the early 1980’s with the Islamic Center of San Diego. Working with the Muslim community there to establish the 1st Islamic Center in San Diego. If you ever visit the Islamic Center in San Diego, notice those big palm trees in front of the center. I and bunch of brothers planted those trees for everyone in the community to enjoy. Professionally I have been working in managing information system with a specialty in cyber security for last 21 years. On my spare time I swim, cycle, travel and enjoy photography.

 

Rosina Khan

Rosina Khan is a Program Manager within the pharmaceutical industry responsible for implementing enterprise technology solutions. She has 15 + years management experience in Healthcare, Security, Finance and Technology. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Wolverhampton and a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from Western International University.
